BILLINGS — We begin to pull out of the cold snap, but it takes several days.
Expect Wednesday afternoon sun with highs ranging from subzero in northeast Montana to the 20s in the mountain foothills west of Billings and through northern Wyoming. Billings has a chance to reach the low 20s, but the persistent cold air and fresh snow will hold back a warm up.
Expect more cold overnight lows, but most readings stay above zero.
Thursday, Friday and Saturday will hit mainly the 20s for high temperatures. Friday has a good chance of snow, with 1 to 2 inches over much the area.
We are on track for a nice warm up starting Sunday, with highs hitting the 30s to mid-40s and lows in the 20s to low 30s.
