BILLINGS — Here comes the wind again

Gusty winds return to much of south central and southeastern Montana early Monday.

A High Wind Warning from Harlowton to Big Timber is in effect from 11pm Sunday through 8pm Monday.

And a Wind Advisory for the Livingston area and Beartooth foothills is in effect from 11pm Sunday through 11am Tuesday.

Sustained winds of 30 to 40 mph with gusts up to 60 mph are expected in the Warning and Advisory areas.

An advancing storm system will bring snow to portions of west and north central Montana Monday morning through early Wednesday morning.

A back door cold front advancing from the northeast will produce snow showers mainly to the northeast of Billings Monday night. But snow showers are possible for the Billings area late Monday into early Tuesday morning.

Meanwhile, daytime high temps will remain above average through Wednesday.
