BILLINGS — March eases in - just ahead of the wind
After a mostly dry and near-average cool March 1st, the mild but occasionally windy weather will continue into the work week.

Sunday’s afternoon highs were in the 30s and low 40s, and Monday’s highs will warm into the 40s and low 50s.

Over the next day or so, any snowfall in the area will be little more than a dusting in the mountains and foothills.

50 to 65 mph gusty winds will blow along the upper Yellowstone Valley Monday through Wednesday.

35 to 50 mph gusty winds will materialize along the plains, including the Billings area, Tuesday and Wednesday.

Tonight: Mostly clear, west winds 5 to 15 mph and a low of 26.

Monday: Mostly sunny & warmer, west winds 15 to 25 mph, gusting to 40 mph and a high of 50.

Monday night: Partly cloudy and windy with a low of 33.

Tuesday: Partly cloudy, windy and warmer with a high of 56.
