BILLINGS — Mild and dry conditions continue.
High temperatures Thursday will be mainly into the 40s through southern Montana and northern Wyoming. Expect the mid to upper 30s from Miles City eastward.
With a sunny to partly sunny afternoon, Thursday will still see strong winds confined to the Livingston foothills with gusts to about 50 mph. Overnight temperatures will be in the 20s to mid 30s for a mild start Friday.
Winds increase Friday across the region, with gusts to about 60 mph in the mountain foothills and sustained winds around Billings 15 to 25 mph. Winds will be lighter east of Billings.
High temperatures Friday will be in the upper 40s to low 50s with increasing afternoon clouds. By Saturday, winds will taper off to the afternoon but highs could hit the mid-50s. Close to record high temperatures are possible.
Sunday will be mild with less wind but a bit of cloudiness. The overall trend is cooling to the 30s by Christmas Day, but remaining dry other than a few high elevation snow showers.

Thursday… Sunny to mostly sunny with a high near 46. Southwest wind 10 to 20 mph.
Thursday night… Partly cloudy with a mild overnight low of around 31. Southwest wind 10 to 20 mph.
Friday… Sunny to partly sunny with a Southwest wind 15 to 25 mph. Warming to about 51 for the high.
