BILLINGS — It is another beautiful day in Billings. There is plenty of sunshine and notice how green the trees are, as new leaves pop out.

Early Tuesday afternoon, the current temperature in Billings is a very comfortable 73 degrees. Heck, it's room temperature out there.

Around the rest of the state, our current temps are mostly in the 50s and 60s out west. We see 70s back in the east. Glasgow and Jordan are in the upper 70s, and they'll probably get into the 80s before too long.

The thunderstorm outlook for Tuesday shows an elevated risk of severe storms from Missoula to Great Falls on up to Havre.

Around that, we have a marginal risk of severe storms. Everywhere else in the state, non-severe thunderstorms are possible.

On Wednesday, we are expecting the big storms to move into the extreme eastern edge of the state from eastern Wyoming all the way to Carter County and up into the Canada.

West of that, we are expecting isolated thundershowers again.

The Doppler radar shows, like yesterday, scattered rain showers track from the south to the north, with the bigger storm starting to pop up around west-central Montana and Missoula.

Our high-resolution forecast model shows we will continue see those thunderstorms stay out west, most of today and even into much of Wednesday.

However, in extreme eastern Montana about 4 p.m., we will see a line of heavy thunderstorms moving into Carter and Fallon counties.

Those showers will continue to track all the way up in the Canada. On Thursday, we are expecting mostly dry conditions in Billings.

We are expected to get up into the upper 70s next hour, even 80 degrees by 6:30 p.m. Then we will cool back down into the 50s in the morning and back to the 70s Wednesday afternoon.

We will top out at 80 degrees again on Wednesday, then roll back down the 59 degrees for high on Saturday and then back up to the 70s, by Monday afternoon.
