BILLINGS — Mostly warm and dry again on Sunday

A passing cold front passing through eastern Montana Saturday afternoon and evening will keep Sunday afternoon highs a bit cooler than today.

Scattered showers in northeast Montana continues to edge eastward while mostly sunny skies prevailed across much of central and southeast Montana and north central Wyoming.

The ridge of high pressure over the region will weaken somewhat over the next day or so, allowing for some mainly mountain snow showers to develop by Sunday evening.

Gusty winds from Billings to Livingston will ease up Saturday evening.

For much of the region, look for daytime highs to stay 10 to 20 degrees above average – into the mid 40s to upper 50s – through the extended forecast period.

The forecast for Billings

Tonight: Partly cloudy, west winds 5 to 15 mph and a low of 29.

Sunday: Mostly sunny, southwest winds 5 to 15 mph and a high of 46.

Sunday night: Mostly cloudy, a 30% chance of showers and a low of 31.

Monday: Partly cloudy and warmer with a high of 52.
