BILLINGS — Another chance of rain and snow overnight, but wind, dry, and near record temperatures highlight Saturday.

A wave bringing a few snow showers, especially through Northern Wyoming, fades to the south and brings more afternoon sun and mild temperatures.

A stronger wave overnight brings a quick shot of snow with some rain showers or isolated freezing rain. Once again the sky clears and mild temperatures follow Thursday afternoon.

Winds increase Thursday afternoon in much of the area. Temperatures move up on Friday and peak near record highs Saturday, all with plenty of wind.

The recent dry and warm conditions in the lower elevations coupled with the weekend warm, dry and windy conditions increase fire risk.

It feels more like winter next week. Temperatures drop to the 30s for highs and teens and single digit lows.

Billings forecast:

Wednesday.... Decreasing clouds with a high near 48. West 5 to 15 mph.

Wednesday night... Increasing clouds with a chance of rain, snow, or isolated freezing rain overnight through early Thursday. Low near 31.

Thursday... Morning showers possible with a high near 46. Clearing inthe afternoon but winds increase 15 to 25 mph.
