BILLINGS — A cold front Tuesday evening is shutting down the winds and bringing a line of brief showers from north to south. Lows drop to the 20s to mid-30s with some clearing overnight.
A mix of clouds and sun Wednesday as highs will cool to the 40s to mid-50s. Winds will once again increase in Montana’s eastern plains into the Dakotas.
Thursday and Friday will warm to the 50s and then 50s and 60s. But by late Friday a cold front brings rain showers.
Rain switches to snow Friday night through Saturday and it gets colder. Expect accumulating snow Saturday with the warmest temperatures early in the day.
Snow ends Sunday but stays cold through Monday with highs in the 30s and lows in the teens.
Billings forecast:
Tuesday night… Winds ease up through the evening with partial clearing overnight. A slight chance of a quick overnight shower. Low of about 30.
Wednesday… More clouds in the morning and more sun in the afternoon. Northerly breeze 5 to 15 mph. High near 52.
Thursday and Friday… Warming to 55-60 Thursday and 60-65 Friday. But rain arrives late Friday with snow to follow.
