BILLINGS — Thunderstorms and heavy rain are on the way.
A slow-moving cold front will bring cooler temperatures, occasionally heavy rain and thunderstorms to the region Saturday night through Tuesday.
Some thunderstorms Saturday evening and Sunday afternoon could be severe with hail, damaging winds and heavy rain.
Rain totals in the Billings area could reach 1.5 inches by Tuesday evening.
Daytime highs fall mostly to the 60s and 70s Sunday through Wednesday.
Sunny, dry and warmer weather moves back into the region in time for July 4th.

Tonight: Mostly cloudy, north winds 5 to 15 mph, a 50% chance of showers and potentially severe evening thunderstorms and a low of 60.
Sunday: Cooler with a 70% chance of potentially severe thunderstorms, occasionally heavy rain, northwest to northeast winds 5 to 15 mph and a high of 70.
Sunday night: A 90% chance of thunderstorms, occasionally heavy rain and a low of 55.
Monday: Cooler with an 80% chance of thunderstorms and occasionally heavy rain and a high of 69.
