Q2 Weather: Some travel hazards through early Thursday in Billings area

Thursday Evening Forecast

Bands of heavy snow will persist through the evening, with showers and fog overnight through Thursday morning. All of this will lead to travel hazards with visibility down to a half-mile at times.

Showers will decrease overnight with areas of fog early Thursday. Low temperatures will be mainly in the 20s.

Fog and clouds will decrease through Thursday morning, leave more sun through the afternoon. Thursday afternoon will top off only in the 30s and 40s, with a few low 50s reachable.

A warming and drying pattern will follow with highs in the 50s to mid-60s possible by the late weekend. Warmer than average temperatures will stick around into early next week.

Billings forecast:

Thursday night… Scattered rain and snow showers in the evening. Scattered snow overnight with areas of fog increasing. Cloudy to mostly cloudy with a low of about 29.

Friday… Areas of morning fog with decreasing clouds. A morning snow showers is possible. Mostly sunny in the afternoon with a high near 51.

Saturday and Sunday… Partly to mostly sunny with highs in the mid-to-lower 50s and lows in the 30s.
