BILLINGS — Colder and wetter weather arrives in the Billings area Saturday night.
Still mild overnight, with Saturday morning temperatures in the 20s to mid 30s. Expect clouds to increase through the day Saturday from west to east, but high temperatures will still hit the 40s to low 50s.
Shower start to move into the area Saturday evening and continue through Sunday. The question still to be answered is whether the system begins with areas of rain and freezing drizzle, or falls the snow.
Be mindful: there could be slick conditions early Sunday.
Temperatures will drop through the day Sunday, producing areas of light snow showers. Four to six inches could fall in the mountains, but one to three will be common across the plains with light amounts in Eastern Montana.
If shower start as rain or freezing drizzle, snow totals will be lower.
