BILLINGS — All aboard the spring weather roller coaster.
In the wake of a mostly dry cold front, today’s afternoon highs will be 10 to 15 degrees cooler than Tuesday.
Gusty winds will shift to the east and north, leaving most of south central Montana with light north winds. Portions of northern Wyoming will still be breezy today.
Another gradual warm up arrives Thursday with highs back into the mid to upper 50s.
Friday will be a transition day with mostly dry and warm weather through the evening. By late Friday night, a stronger cold front will move in.
Saturday’s weather picture calls for rain changing to accumulating snow – up to 4 inches locally – with much colder temperatures and gusty north winds.
Flurries will extend into Easter Sunday morning with below freezing highs across the region Sunday afternoon.
