BILLINGS — The winds cranked up a bit, especially in the mountain foothills eastward to Billings Thursday afternoon. But they will ease heading past sunset and will leave the area drier.
With a clearing sky, temperatures slip to the 20s overnight. Friday will be sunny to mostly sunny across eastern Montana and northern Wyoming with highs in the 40s to mid-50s.
A warm up continues through the weekend until early next week. Highs are on target for some mid-60s by Tuesday. If the current trend holds, a few showers will move back to the lower elevations midweek.
Billings forecast:
Thursday night… Mostly clear with a low of about 27. Winds ease to 5 to 15 mph from the west.
Friday… Sunny with a high near 50.
Saturday and Sunday… Mid-50s Saturday and closer to 60 for a high Sunday. Sunny to mostly sunny with lows in the 30s.
