BILLINGS — Ups and downs in the weather all week, both in temperatures and the chance of precipitation.

High temperatures stay above the seasonal average all week, but roll between the 60s to as warm as the 80s and back to the 60s again.

Clouds increase from west to east Monday, with showers and isolated thunderstorms following behind. Some storms will produce gusty winds. Some mountain snow possible. Highs in the 60s to mid-70s.

Precipitation decreases Monday night through Tuesday. Tuesday is sunny but breezy with stronger winds gusting 30 to 40 mph east of Billings. Tuesday starts in the 40s and warm to the 60s.

Wednesday and Thursday are especially warm, with highs in the mid-70s to low 80s. But cooler air brings another round of showers and thunderstorms by Friday as temperatures return to the 60s.

Billings forecast:

Monday… Increasing clouds with scattered showers and thunderstorms in the afternoon. A high near 69. Light westerly wind 5 to 15 mph in the afternoon.

Monday night… A slight chance of showers and thunderstorms in the evening. Mostly clear, with a low around 46. West wind 5 to 15 mph.

Tuesday... Sunny, with a high near 68. Northwest wind 15 to 25 mph.
