BILLINGS — Spring thunderstorms possible Sunday.
A passing cold front will trigger showers and thunderstorms Sunday afternoon across much of south central and southeast Montana and northeast Wyoming.
Most of the region will see increasing showers and thunderstorm from 1pm to 7 pm.
There is a slight chance of strong to severe thunderstorms east of Miles City and Lame Deer.
Small hail, lightning, rain and gusty winds are likely with passing thunderstorms. If a thunderstorm approaches, be sure to take shelter.
A cooling trend moves in for the work week with Monday afternoon highs only into the low 60s.

Tonight: Increasing clouds, light east winds, a 20% chance of isolated showers and a low of 47.
Sunday: Increasing clouds, a 70% chance of afternoon rain showers and scattered thunderstorms, west winds 10 to 20 mph and a high of 71.
Sunday night: Cloudy with a 40% chance of isolated evening thunderstorms, then rain showers, northwest winds 5 to 15 mph and a low of 40.
Monday: Decreasing clouds and cooler, west winds 10 to 20 mph, and a high of 62.
