BILLINGS — Wind highlights the weather for the next few days.
Expect a sunny to mostly sunny day Tuesday, except for areas of eastern Montana from about Miles City toward the Dakotas. A few showers could develop in this area with wind gusts to about 35 mph.
Much of the rest of the area, including Billings, will see 15 to 25 mph winds at times.
Winds ease overnight before widespread gusting winds develop late Wednesday up to 55 mph in the Livingston / Big timber areas by early Thursday.
The best chance of rain and a few thunderstorms is Wednesday afternoon through Thursday.
Billings forecast:
Tuesday… Sunny with a high of about 66. Westerly wind increases to 15 to 25 mph in the afternoon.
Tuesday night… Mostly clear and around 37 for a low.
Wednesday… Partly sunny with a high near 70. Easterly wind 10 to 20 mph.
