BILLINGS — A windy and warmer wrap up to 2019
The major storm system centered over Nebraska Sunday afternoon will continue to bring cold temps, snow and blizzard conditions east of Montana over the northern plains Sunday night into Monday.
Meanwhile, a mostly dry and mild weather pattern covers the Montana, Wyoming and most of the northern Rockies.
Gap winds will pick up in the Livingston area and the Beartooth / Absaroka foothills by Monday afternoon through New Year’s Eve.
15 to 25 mph winds will blow in and around Billings Monday evening through New Year’s Day.
Afternoon high temperatures will edge into the 40s across the eastern plains by Tuesday.

Tonight: Mostly clear and cold with southwest winds 5 to 10 mph and a low of 15.
Monday: Sunny with southwest winds 10 to 20 mph, morning wind chills from 5 below to 5 above, and a high of 36.
Monday night: Mostly clear and windy with a low of 22.
Tuesday: Mostly sunny, windy and warmer with a high of 41.
