BILLINGS — Except for the wind, it is pretty quiet the next few days.

The pattern is good for plenty of sun and warmer temperatures through Saturday. Highs will reach mainly upper 30s to upper 40s Friday with more widespread 40s and a few low 50s Saturday.

Winds will also be strong in the Livingston / Nye / Big Timber / Harlowton areas with gusts of 40 to 55 mph through Saturday. Billings will stay breezy.

While winds generally decrease, Sunday is still mild with highs still in the 40s for the lower elevations.

Showers are expected late Monday through early Tuesday, with temperatures slipping down to the 30s for highs Tuesday for the coolest day of the week.

Take heart, warm weather lovers, because the early indications are highs will rebound back to the upper 40s by Thursday and Friday.

Billings forecast:

Friday… Sunny with a high of about 43. Westerly wind 15 to 25 mph.

Friday night… Clear with a low around 28. Still breezy.

Saturday… More wind at times. Otherwise sunny and near 47 for the high.
