BILLINGS — A quiet weather pattern to start the week, but wind and the chance of showers increase.
High temperatures Monday will be mainly into the 20s and 30s, average for this time of the year. With plenty of afternoon sun, it may feel little warmer than the thermometer indicates.
Breezy conditions around Livingston Monday will turn windy by Monday night. By Tuesday, gusts will be hitting over 55 miles an hour with strong winds around Big Timber and Harlowton. Billings will be breezy at 15 to 25 mph.
Clouds increase Tuesday with brisk winds Tuesday night through Wednesday for areas from Billings to the west. A quick moving cold front will bring a chance of rain and snow showers.
Highs stay above seasonal averages for the rest of the week, with New Year’s Day being the warmest. Readings will hit the 40s and a few places could be close to 50.
