BILLINGS — If you have been craving fresh fruits and vegetables, Produce Depot in downtown Billings is giving you just that.

Casey Anderson, the Produce Depot owner said: "Produce is just as much about where you get it, it’s about when you get it. As soon as someone picks produce it feels like a ticking time bomb so we bring out stuff in the day before, and we have a limited quantity so we are able to get people the freshest stuff twice a week so we are only handling it one time, we are putting it in your bags."

Anderson also made sure the public knows the Depot is wearing protective gloves and face masks, and that everyone is making sure their hands are clean.

"We have had a lot of people calling and just donating bags and saying, we would like to help," Anderson said. "They even pay for two bags. Please provide this for a family in need. So that has been really cool to see our community come together like that. Everyone has been really receptive to it. Billings and the people here have really come together and shown a great strength in community."

Anderson added: "I think people are paying more and more attention to what they are eating and not more so than ever. It’s been a unique opportunity and a way for us to connect to the community."
