The Museum of the Rockies had a record-breaking year for attendance in 2019.
The museum’s attendance topped 200,000 people for the first time in history.
In fact, the museum says they had more than 220,000 visitors pass through their doors throughout the year.
They said many of those visitors were there to see the Genghis Khan exhibit this summer.
According to the museum’s Marketing Director Alicia Harvey, the staff and volunteers are the reason for their success.
“So even though we were super busy, the staff and volunteers really stepped up to make sure that everyone had an exceptional experience at the museum,” Harvey said.
The museum’s next exhibit - “Reptiles - the Beautiful and Deadly” - is expected to open to the public Saturday, Jan. 25 and will have 15 live reptiles on display.
The exhibit will be open through Sept. 13, 2020.
